TCM acupuncture works by stimulating specific points in the body to activate your innate healing systems — supporting circulation, calming the nervous system, and improving communication between the brain and body. Rather than overriding natural processes, it taps into your body’s existing capacity to regulate, repair, and restore balance.

Common Conditions treated effectively with TCM acupuncture
You’ll be asked about sleep, stress, digestion, energy, pain patterns, menstrual/hormonal health (if applicable), and daily habits to understand what’s driving your symptoms.
Based on your assessment, we’ll explain the treatment focus, what we’re targeting in the session, and what improvement may look like over time.
Your practitioner may assess your pulse and tongue, and may palpate relevant areas to identify patterns that guide treatment.
You’ll get comfortable on the treatment table while fine, sterile needles are placed in selected points. Most people feel minimal discomfort and often experience deep relaxation.
Optional Supportive Therapies (If Appropriate)
Depending on your needs, your session may also include therapies such as electro-acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, acupressure, or infrared heat.
Acupuncture for Hormone Regulation
Acupuncture can serve as a supportive therapy for a range of medically recognized hormonal conditions by influencing the neuroendocrine system and reducing physiologic stress. Research suggests acupuncture may help regulate communication within the hypothalamic–pituitary–ovarian (HPO) axis, modulate cortisol levels, improve autonomic nervous system balance, and reduce inflammatory signaling — all of which play a role in hormonal health.
Clinically, acupuncture is often used to support individuals experiencing conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), hypothalamic amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), infertility, perimenopause and menopause-related symptoms (including hot flashes, sleep disturbance, and mood changes), and hormonally mediated migraines. By supporting blood flow, reducing sympathetic overdrive, and influencing neurotransmitters such as serotonin and beta-endorphins, acupuncture may help improve cycle regularity, ovulatory function, vasomotor stability, and stress resilience.
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture
Facial rejuvenation acupuncture is a natural, regenerative treatment designed to support the skin’s own repair and renewal processes. Using ultra-fine needles placed strategically in targeted areas of the face — and, when appropriate, supportive points on the body — this technique stimulates circulation, activates fibroblasts, and encourages collagen and elastin production. The gentle, controlled micro-stimulation triggers a localized healing response that enhances dermal thickness, improves elasticity, and promotes a brighter, more even complexion. At the same time, treatment helps regulate neuromuscular tension in the muscles of facial expression, softening lines that develop from chronic stress or repetitive movement. By improving microcirculation, supporting lymphatic flow, and calming the nervous system, facial acupuncture offers a subtle, progressive approach to skin rejuvenation that works in harmony with your body — enhancing tone, texture, and vitality without altering your natural expression.
NeuroMeridian Integrative Acupuncture
Neuro-Meridian Integrative Acupuncture is a contemporary acupuncture approach that bridges traditional meridian theory with modern neuroscience and pain science. This method integrates classical channel mapping with an in-depth understanding of peripheral nerve pathways, spinal segmental dynamics, myofascial chains, and central pain modulation. By combining Eastern diagnostic principles with Western neuroanatomy and functional assessment, Neuro-Meridian Integrative Acupuncture aims to influence both local tissue healing and broader nervous system regulation. Clinically, the approach is designed to support complex pain presentations, musculoskeletal injuries, pelvic and visceral pain, migraine, and autonomic dysregulation by promoting neuromodulation, improving circulation, and supporting the body’s innate recovery mechanisms. It reflects an evidence-informed, integrative model of care that aligns traditional acupuncture with contemporary understanding of how the nervous system processes pain and inflammation.
Acupuncture for Pelvic Pain & Endometriosis
Acupuncture is a supportive therapy for pelvic pain and dysmenorrhea, including pain related to endometriosis. Treatment often includes gentle, targeted needling of the lower abdomen and pelvic region, along with carefully selected points elsewhere on the body to help regulate pain pathways and support overall nervous system balance. From a physiological perspective, acupuncture may help reduce inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins, which are associated with uterine cramping and pelvic discomfort. It also promotes improved microcirculation, encourages nitric oxide–mediated vasodilation, and activates the body’s natural pain-modulating systems, including endorphin release.
In chronic pelvic pain conditions like endometriosis — where both local inflammation and central sensitization can amplify symptoms — acupuncture may help calm heightened pain signaling and reduce muscular guarding in the pelvic region. Treatments are individualized and can be coordinated with the menstrual cycle and integrated alongside gynecologic care, pelvic physiotherapy, and other medical management strategies. While not a replacement for physician-led treatment, acupuncture offers a complementary approach that may help decrease pain intensity, improve quality of life, and support overall pelvic health.
Acupuncture for Fertility
TCM acupuncture is often used as a complementary therapy to support natural conception and medically assisted fertility treatments. By helping regulate communication within the hypothalamic–pituitary–ovarian (HPO) axis, acupuncture may promote more consistent ovulatory patterns, support healthy luteal phase function, and encourage hormonal balance. Treatment can also improve pelvic blood flow, which supports optimal endometrial lining development and ovarian function.
In addition to its reproductive effects, acupuncture plays an important role in stress regulation. Elevated stress hormones can interfere with ovulation and implantation; acupuncture helps modulate the autonomic nervous system and reduce cortisol levels, creating a more supportive physiologic environment for conception. Treatments are tailored to the menstrual cycle phase and may be coordinated alongside fertility medications or IVF protocols.
While not a replacement for reproductive medical care, TCM acupuncture offers a supportive, integrative approach designed to optimize the body’s readiness for conception, improve resilience during fertility treatment, and enhance overall well-being throughout the journey.
Perimenopause felt like I didn’t recognize my own body anymore — my sleep was disrupted, my mood was unpredictable, and the hot flashes seemed to come out of nowhere. I felt like I was on a hormonal rollercoaster with no clear solution. After starting acupuncture, I began noticing subtle but meaningful changes. My sleep became deeper, the intensity of my hot flashes decreased, and I felt calmer and more grounded overall. What I appreciated most was the holistic approach — not just treating symptoms, but helping my whole system feel more balanced. Acupuncture became a steady anchor during a very unsteady season of life.
